This week - review of commas, capitalization, use of quotation marks, abbreviations, etc., the use of “Daily Bites” will help!  Work on the last unit “overview” alternately with the review of mechanics.

 Please remember that the school is selling Scrip cards as an on-going fundraiser.  These make nice gifts, but can also be used for personal use. You can go to GLSCRIP.com for more information.

The PSA is selling all kinds of great things.  They have assorted shirts, hoodies, backpacks, etc.  Contact the school office for more information!

The class basket  for the silent auction Spring Gala is a “Tailgating” theme, so please look for items to send in to make our basket “the best!”

Writing this semester:  Descriptions, Persuasive Letters, Business and Personal Letters, and some poetry.  We will continue to focus on utilizing some of those literary elements (similes, metaphors, personification, irony, etc.)  Last 9 weeks, a research paper! HOORAY!!
